Email Marketing’s Role In Internet Marketing

Written by admin on Monday, August 31st, 2009 in Site Promotion.

When you hear the term “internet marketing“, what do you think of?

For many, that term conjures thoughts of websites or spamming or search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. For others, it’s all about graphical design, writing fancy code or even affiliate programs. All of those answers correct, but the essence of internet marketing is much simpler.

At its core, internet marketing is about these things:

* Understanding the target market to which the product/service/cause you’re marketing will appeal
* Determining exactly how your target market interacts with the internet
* Positioning your content on the internet to attract the attention of your target market
* Collecting information about your target market (also known as “leads”) for follow-up and conversion into sales
* Design of offers or incentives to induce the desired actions from your leads

Since there is insufficient space in this article to give all of these topics adequate attention, let’s focus on just one specific topic with the realm of internet marketing: Email Marketing.

My best payoff has always come by focusing on permission-based email marketing. Permission-based email marketing refers to the practice of collecting information (including email addresses) from website visitors and communicating with them via e-mail with their direct consent. The “permission” aspect of permission-based email marketing is what separates legitimate email marketers from the spammers that everyone despises.

My love of email marketing is strong for one reason: It works very well. Email marketing has been much like a never-ending goldmine: It enables us to produce income on demand simply by sending a good offer to our list. When you have thousands of loyal subscribers – as we do – and you put a strong and compatible offer in front of them, income becomes nearly automatic.

However, the key to successful email marketing is the development of a legitimate trust relationship with your subscribers. If you opt to send your subscribers a request for purchases every single day, they will likely tire of your badgering and cease reading your emails altogether.

Alternatively, if you take the time to provide good content to your readers on a regular and frequent basis, you’ll discover that your readers take all of your emails far more seriously, and as a result your emails will be opened, read and acted upon with greater frequency. Essentially, email marketing is really an exercise in trust.

While there are many more aspects to internet marketing than just permission-based email marketing, email has definitely been the cornerstone on which our business is built.

Overview - This article draws attention to a fast method that anyone can use to independently review the popularity of any computer optimization software (e.g. Registry fix software, registry cleaner software, error fixing software etc..). It also uses the real life example of a website dedicated to help users fix computer errors, which has already adopted this method for screening relevant software for further review.

Readers should understand that the method referred to in this article is new and imperfect, yet presents a distinct advantage over most other alternatives.

The problem - Despite the range of software claiming to optimize computer performance, most computer users do not tend to rely on impartial information in order to verify the popularity of computer optimization software before making their purchase. This is problematic because computer optimization software which are not popular are either new, unproven or both. Either way they are riskier.

The options - Most users still rely on forums. Yet the problem with this approach is that forums provide, at best anecdotal evidence of the popularity of any software. Another obvious downside is the risk that participants to the forum may seek to just promote their own software instead of providing their independent opinion.

Another method is to visit software vendors’ sites. Clearly vendors are not independent and this is an inherent limitation of this method.

Another method is to rely on an independent site, which compares different computer optimization software in the same family, for instance Anti-Virus software, Registry Cleaning Software, Anti Adware/ Spyware software etc…. The challenge with this method is that the vast majority of these websites focus primarily on the detailed functionality and do not provide independent data on the real popularity of the software they are comparing.

So how can users determine the popularity of any computer optimization software independently? (click on registry fix software example)

15 Minutes Method - A superior method is to look at the data provided by digital market places such as Clickbank for example, which is the largest of them all. There as several digital market place which sell many of the most popular computer optimization software and they give these software an indicator of popularity often called Gravity. Put simply, this indicator is linked to the number of sales transactions made for a particular software over a period of time. The Gravity measure of any digital product is calculated and compared independently from any software vendor by Clickbank. However imperfect, Gravity is a good independent measure of popularity. Users can in any event, independently verify the actual popularity of any computer optimization program by visting Clickbank or a similar digital marketplace. In spite of the fact that the method has inherent limitations (i.e not all Computer Optimization Software are sold via Clickbank), it is still one of the most accessible to follow independently.

Example - Some software review sites have adopted this method and are now referring to the Clickbank popularity of the digital products that they are also reviewing independently (Click on fix registry errors for a live example).

Email Marketing’s Role In Internet Marketing

Overview - This article describes a fast method that anyone can use to independently assess the popularity of any computer optimization software (e.g. Registry fix software, registry cleaner software, error fixing software etc..). It also uses the real life example of a website dedicated to help users fix computer errors, which has already adopted this method for screening relevant software for further review.

Readers should be forewarned that this method is still new and imperfect, yet that it still represents a superior alternative to most of other approaches available .

The problem - Never has the choice of computer optimization software been so vast, yet most computer users do not tend to rely on impartial information to verify the popularity of computer optimization software before making their purchase. This is a problem because computer optimization software, which are not popular may be new, unproven or both and are therefore riskier than more popular ones.

The options - Most users still rely on forums. However the problem with this method is that forums only provide anecdotal evidence (at best) of the popularity of any software, another downside is the risk that forum participants are just promoting their own products instead of sharing their independent opinion.

Software vendors’ sites provide another method. The trouble is that software vendors are obviously partial to their products, and this is the downside of using this method.

Independent sites which compare similar computer optimization software, for example Anti-virus programs, Registry Cleaning Software, Adware & Spyware removal programs etc…, represent another method. A major challenge with this method is that by and large, these sites focus their attention almost exclusively on the detailed technical features of the software they are comparing, and do not provide independent information on their popularity as they lack the data to do so.

Software vendors have no influence on the Gravity measure that Clickbank calculate and compare across any range of digital products. This indicator is therefore a good independent measure of popularity. Any user will be able to verify independently if any computer optimization software is popular by visiting Clickbank, alternatively any other major digital marketplace. Even if this method is not perfect (some Computer Optimization Programs are not sold via Clickbank), it is probably the most accessible for anyone to follow independently.

Example - Some software review sites have adopted this method and are now referring to the Clickbank popularity of the digital products that they are also reviewing independently (Click on fix registry errors for a live example).

How To Easily Get Links Back To Your Site

Written by admin on Sunday, August 30th, 2009 in SEO.

Also called “incoming links”, “backlinks” are links on another blog that go right back to your own blog or blog posts.  For instance, if a blogger decides to put up a link to your blog on his blog or website, that link that directs people to your site is what a backlink is.  These little bits of HTML code are actually a driving force in the success of many blogs, and if you’ve decided to make money online with a blog or sell products on it, you’ll have to try getting as many backlinks as you can.

Of course, backlinks aren’t just some little detail that bloggers can forget about.  In fact, they’re responsible for your success as a blogger, and have a direct effect on your blog’s ranking on major search engines.  The more backlinks your blog has, the higher its rank will be on Google and other search engines.  If you have more backlinks for a keyword that other blogs are already targeting, your ranking on search engines will be much higher, therefore making you more accessible to the online community.

Backlinks must contain the keyword your blog post is targeting to have any impact on your rankings for that keyword. This is called “anchor text” and the rest of this article will talk about getting backlinks containing your anchor text back to your specific blog post.

1.  Comment on other blogs:
The best way to introduce yourself to other bloggers is by posting comments on their entries.  Of course, you shouldn’t just post any comment for the sake of putting up one.  Instead, leave a thoughtful comment that’s relevant to the post in question, and don’t forget to include your URL at the bottom of your comment.  If you want to take things a step further, use your targeted keyword as your username, which will also be linked back to your own blog.

2.  Hop onto forum boards:
Are you part of any forum board that deals with the primary topic of your blog?  You can get an instant backlink there by editing your signature to include a link (with the right keyword) to your blog.  Once you’ve done this, aim to become an active participant in the forum.  Make intelligent contributions to discussions to show your expertise in the subject.  By creating a good reputation on forum boards, your backlinks stand a bigger chance of fetching you a larger load of traffic.

3.  Link baiting:
Link baiting is basically writing a post about the latest or hottest news about your niche, especially if that piece of news is the sort that everyone wants to know about.  Controversial topics are also good link baits and are bound to get the attention of other bloggers who might end up linking to you if they like your post.  It goes without saying, however, that your post should be unique, well-written, and chock-full of fresh insights on the topic you chose.  It’s also a good idea to put up your targeted keywords as the title of your blog post; that way, other people can just copy the title and turn it into an anchor text that leads straight up to your blog.

Backlinks comprise a major part in a blogger’s success, and once you’ve got the hang of it, you’ll find that it isn’t very hard to boost your backlink count to make money blogging.  Remember, however, that the quality of your blog posts is still your winning ticket to blogging success.  Work on your blog and its reputation, and you’ll later realize that you won’t have to go and look for backlinks – people will just happily link to you without your knowing it.

Written by admin on Sunday, August 30th, 2009 in PPC.

How can you succeed with pay per click marketing when you don’t have the same skills as the experts?  When you are competing against experienced advertisers, then you need to give yourself an advantage.  This is where you will want to use a tool like PPC Bully 2, and in this review, I am going to show you how you will be able to use this tool to your advantage.

Creating a pay per click campaign is not a simple task.  You first have to put a good amount of effort setting the campaign up, and then once it’s up and running, you need to spend more time and money optimizing things.  It takes at least a few days or so to get rid of any bad keywords and split testing your ad copy before your campaign has even a chance of making any money.

Before you could use a ppc ad spying tool like iSpionage or even the first version of PPC Bully.  These are good tools that can save intelligent pay per click marketers a lot of time.  You can feed them your own set of keywords, and after a couple of weeks, you can analyze the results to discover which advertisers are having success with them.  You can then utilize this info to plan your own campaign using the same successful keywords and using their ad copy.

These tools work very well, but there is one problem with them.  Who wants to wait all that time for their keywords to finish scanning?  Well, with the new release of PPC Bully 2, you won’t have to wait anymore.  With this new version, you get almost instant results!  Instead of waiting weeks to start up your pay per click campaign, you may be able to start one in less than a couple of hours.

So now if you want to sell the latest hyped up Clickbank product, you can use PPC Bully 2 to immediately uncover the profitable keywords and ad copy for the product.  No keyword research necessary, and no more keyword scanning.  That data is already available.  If there are direct linking affiliates and you do the same, you can probably have your campaign setup in less than an hour.  Who knew it could be that easy?
